The new Nike + iPod Sport Kit has a built-in Pedometer that accurately tracks your steps and calories - yet another great way to maintain your fitness and weight-loss goals.

 

You are already carrying your iPod Nano with you everywhere. Now you can use the pedometer function to gauge the calories you are burning. Its a great way to stay in shape!

 

 

You place the sensor underneath the insole of your nike shoes. It wirelessly transmits the data to the receiver which you need to connect to your iPod Nano.
Open the Nike + iPod menu and choose a particular workout.  You can try the open-ended workout or select one with time, distance, or calorie goals. Then just pick your favorite playlist, shuffle songs, or choose Nike-created Sport Music and you are all set to begin your workout.

 

While you are enjoying your workout or run, iPod Nano informs you of your time, distance, pace, and calories burned. It gives you feedback at the halfway point and as you come close to the end. You can also see the details of your workout on your iPod nano on a particular day so you can track your past  progress (or lack thereof!).
