I finally decided to upgrade my phone and I decided to go with the LG ENV TOUCH. One of my major concerns was the price of the cellphone. Originally, when it came out in June, it was rumored to cost $250 with a 2 year contract. However, Verizon Wireless is running a special where you pay $179 but get an $80 mail-in rebate. However, this does lock you into a 2 year contract so you are better off getting an unlocked version with no contract if you do not want to pay $275 to get out of your contract!

 
The touch screen is easy to use and it is just like the iPhone, except you have a more reliable network (in my opinion) than AT&T. Of course if you prefer, you can buy an unlocked iPhone instead, but in my opinion, this phone is better!  The phone opens with a clamshell format and has a full keyboard. It has 2 screens, with the inside screen much richer and higher contrast. The phone also rotates the screen when you hold it horizontally, displaying a full keyboard and also making the viewing of photographs much better. It is equipped with a pretty decent 3.2 M camera and flash which is great for taking portraits, but not so great for low or no-light conditions.

Do not forget to buy accessories like a car charger and headset which you can get for about $10 for the LG ENV TOUCH VX11000
