They DO NOT need to be portable, I already have portable speakers.

i have the second one down- good sound quality, high volume, comes with radio and clock built-in. easy to use, and it’s convertable to fit almost all of the iPod models.
pretty cheap for sucha good deal, and the little guy’s my ipod’s best friend
there are several models to choose from on that page.
