What happens when the Ipod battery starts to die?

My ipod is going strong so i’m not worried yet but all good things must end. Is it even possible to switch the battery out when it starts to die i.e. not taking a charge or only holding a charge for short periods of time.

  1. When it dies… it just doesn’t hold a charge long enough for you to enjoy it… as you go through discharging and recharging it, at one point, it will start loosing capacity.

I’ve had mine replaced at a Batteries Plus store for half the cost it would have been going with Apple.

They have stores all over the US… maybe there is one near you that can do that.

  2. it’s built with a rechargable battery.. hang on to your receipt, this is the reason ipods are so expensive otherwise you could stick to cds right? if your battery starts to deteriorate then its probably bc you dropped it in water but it shouldnt go out on its own

  3. I believe those must be replaced by an Apple store. If it is not holding a charge..may need replacing.. (You must be using it a lot.?) Each charge and recharge will slowly affect the life….
